In particular NNE has an impressive skills pool in automation and industrialised IT, and are experts in GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements: there is also a large architect department in-house, focusing on the functionality and aesthetics of the specific type of facility.

The NNE business supplies a large range of individual engineering, advisory and consulting services to a broad spectrum of clients dealing with all aspects of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

NNE has a determination to become the best consultants and suppliers to the World biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries as a whole: whilst most experience over the past years has been developed on projects within the Novo Group, the proportion of turnover from clients outside the Group has grown to approaching 10% in 2002.

Over the last five years NNE has experienced a substantial increase in the number of projects undertaken, leading to a significant growth in turnover and employee numbers.

The year 2002 saw the sales turnover in engineering services of 1.3 Billion DKK (approx 200 Million USD, 125 Million GBP), a growth of 16% on the previous record year.

Today NNE has a workforce of more than 1200 people, working at the headquarters in Bagsvaerd north of Copenhagen, and around the World, as far as China, close to our clients.

Over 20% of these employees are consultants contracted for their expertise from selected specialist external consulting firms.
