NI hosts series of academic conferences

National Instruments UK and Ireland today announced a series of free, one-day academic conferences, particularly for those teaching using LabVIEW

National Instruments UK and Ireland today announced a series of academic conferences NI Labview in the Curriculum is a free, one-day academic conference for those currently teaching with National Instruments Labview, or interested in how Labview can improve the learning experience for students, and those who want to find out how Labview is being used in research applications

Dates and Locations are as follows:.

* Trinity College Dublin, Tuesday 12th September.

* Imperial College London, Tuesday 19th September.

* University of Manchester, Thursday 21st September.

Presentations will include.

* Virtual Instrumentation in Academia keynote presentation.

* NI Elvis, featuring plug-and-play USB connectivity with the new USB-6251 M Series device.

* Electronics from Design to Test - follow a design from concept through to prototype using Multisim and Ultiboard from Electronics Workbench, NI Elvis and Labview.

* Labview 8, the latest version of the graphical development software from NI including the MathScript node allowing you to combine intuitive graphical dataflow programming with math-oriented textual programming.

* Labview embedded development module - use it with a third party toolchain and an embedded operating system to target any 32-bit microprocessor.
