Registration opens for NIDays 2009 event
Registration is now open for NIDays 2009, an annual development conference hosted by National Instruments (NI) UK and Ireland, which is scheduled to take place on 27 November at Savoy Place in London.
Engineers, scientists and educators involved in test and measurement, industrial control and automation and embedded design are invited to attend the event, which is being held in association with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and media partners Electronics Manufacture and Test, The Engineer and New Electronics.
Keynote audience from 2008
NIDays is a free, multi-track conference and exhibition for engineers to explore the latest tools and technologies from NI.
The day offers more than 20 hours of in-depth technical sessions and 15 hours of hands-on training.
Technical highlights at this year's conference will include software development techniques; visitors can experience the new features of Labview 2009.
Visitors can also explore a variety of application areas, including high-performance data acquisition, with the new X Series and wireless sensor networks, radio-frequency communications, modular real-time architectures and automated test and instrument control.
Attendees can learn how to increase productivity and remain competitive when designing or optimising industrial control applications.
There will also be tips and demonstrations of the latest software and hardware to aid the process of designing, prototyping and deploying embedded systems.
Included will be a chance for visitors to find out how to enhance engineering and scientific teaching and research programmes.
Attendees will discover how NI technology could help accelerate innovation in renewable energy, power efficiency and environmental monitoring.
The Industry Experts Panel will answer delegates' questions around the topic of 'What Inspires Innovation', discussing how research enables fiction to become reality, how engineering disciplines such as robotics, biomedical and energy efficiency help drive innovation and how to inspire the next generation of engineers and problem solvers to improve everyday life.
NIDays attendees will also have the opportunity to choose from various technical hands-on content to gain experience of using NI hardware and software products such as Labview, NI CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, NI Elvis II and PXI.
Labview users will be invited to take the Certified Labview Associate Developer (CLAD) free of charge at NIDays, providing a saving of GBP109.
