The faster food process machinery runs, the more likely it is to benefit from synthetic oils and greases: Nye Lubricants has added more food grade lubricants to their portfolio

to their portfolio The faster food process machinery runs, the more likely it is to benefit from synthetic oils and greases

While many mineral-oil based products meet the NSF International food grade requirement, they often do not measure up to the more demanding temperature and load requirements of modern food, pharmaceutical and beverage processing equipment.

Like mineral oils, synthetic food grade lubricants are non-toxic, odourless, colourless, tasteless and conform to the requirements of NSF H-1 for use in and around food processing areas.

However, synthetics tolerate both lower and higher temperatures, offer improved anti-wear properties, extend lubrication intervals and lengthen the life of moving parts.

Nye has extended its food approved lubricant portfolio and now provides a range of synthetic oil chemistry lubricants with NSF H-1 approval, with temperature capabilities al low as -50C and up to +260C.

For technical specifications, questions and sample requests or a custom-designed synthetic lubricant, please contact Newgate Simms Ltd, the Nye Lubricants exclusive UK distributor.
