Non-invasive level switches from Omega

An Omega Engineering product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 22, 2008

Omega Engineering has a new range of non-invasive ultrasonic liquid level switches that have real benefits in the process plants of today

The non-invasive LVUN-600 operates on the speed of sound.

This is propagated easier through liquid than air, therefore when there is no liquid between the walls of the pipe/vessel the unit detects this and switches a relay.

Installation is easy as the sensors are mounted to the outside of metal or plastic pipes from 6mm to 300mm diameter with a wall thickness of (up to) 25mm.

Mounted in almost any location without interrupting the process, the product is not compromised or contaminated and the unit is unaffected by process build-up making it ideal for the chemical, nuclear, electronics and pharmaceutical industries.
