Real-time event monitoring of critical SHE alarms

An Omniflex (UK) product story

The Maxiflex 32SOE Sequence of Event module from Omniflex provides real-time alarm/event monitoring of critical SHE alarms with true first up monitoring

Real-time alarm/event monitoring of critical SHE alarms with true first up monitoring.

The Maxiflex 32SOE Sequence of Event (SOE) module from Omniflex monitors 32 Digital Inputs and creates time-stamped events to a resolution of 1ms upon change of state.

By using multiple 32SOE modules with the Maxiflex P3 CPU, powerful low cost sequence-of-events systems can be constructed with up to 480 time-stamped inputs per system.

Multiple systems can also be linked and time synchronised for larger distributed systems.

The Maxiflex SOE Sequence of Events Recorder time stamps events at source, therefore removing timing errors caused by the latency in communications systems.

This allows sequence of events from fast acting systems such as electrical distribution systems to be reliably monitored.

The Maxiflex SOE 1ms resolution Sequence of Event Recorder is ideal for storing events leading to process shutdowns for faster fault diagnosis, helping to reduce plant downtime.

It is also ideal as a predictive maintenance tool, by pinpointing minor problems before they develop into major ones and for sending events over wide areas using the extensive Maxiflex network capability to record plant data in a central database.

Omniflex have a proven record in the SER market and also provide SCADA systems to accept the inputs which have been time stamped by the Maxiflex Sequence of Event Recorder modules.
