Online data logging available for ABB flowmeter
Omniflex has brought out the Teleterm Omnilog2, an online data logging system for the ABB Magmaster Electromagnetic Flowmeter.
Each Teleterm RTU is equipped with an RS232/485 serial port, 12 inputs/outputs (selectable analogue/digital input/output), event driven alarm functions, optional MMC/SD memory card for data logging, user application programmable and an IE61131-3 graphical programming option.
The M2 RTUs can be used for remote I/O - on existing cables - up to a distance of 10km.
This is ideal for remote communications within an existing plant where the cost of laying new cable is prohibitive.
Other means of communications include Ethernet (best for applications with existing Ethernet infrastructure and with a requirement for only a few mixed signals from each location), dial-up telephone links (ideal for remote monitoring and controls applications where existing PSTN lines are available), serial link, SMS, GPRS and license-free code-hopping radio.
Other features of the M2 RTU include.
* SD Memory Card slot for long term data storage.
* Battery backed real-time clock for scheduling or control functions.
* In-built supply voltage and ambient temperature monitor for early warning of system problems.
* Compatible with Conet OPC Servers for communication directly with your SCADA.
* Alarm reporting via SMS to mobile phones or via email.
