All Omni16c Alarm Annunciator status information can be sent to and from PLC, DCS or SCADA Systems, with the new option of both hardwired inputs and Modbus serial interface boards

Omni16c Annunciator provides choice of alarm inputs Following numerous requests from users for an interface that enables Omni16c Alarm Annunciator statuses to be sent to and from PLC, DCS or SCADA Systems, Omniflex have equipped the Annunciator range with both hardwired inputs and Modbus serial Interface boards

This means that the Omniflex range of IEC61508 SIL1 Alarm Annunciators can accept alarm inputs from anywhere on the plant either via hardwired inputs, multiplexed inputs or a mixture of the two.

The Annunciator, when fitted with the RS232/485 Modbus card, can accept or send alarm and events to/from Maxiflex Multiplexers, RTU, PLC, SCADA or DCS systems.

The inputs whether hardwired or multiplexed can be mixed on the same Annunciator.

The Annunciator system as standard also has a network watchdog relay output to detect loss of communications with the remote device.
