Orbimatic GmbH has added the Orbipurge internal purging kit to their range of high quality orbital welding equipment: with the ORB1001 low level oxygen analyser it gives a high quality purging system
How to achieve a new and clean process line
When planning an installation of a new stainless steel process pipe line it is important to understand the importance of using the best materials and techniques to ensure it is clean when installed.
Two welding heads are more efficient than one
The Orbitwin allows the connection of two Orbital Welding heads to one Orbital Welding Power Source, to achieve high rate production tube welding.
One of the major improvements is the redesign of the layout of the front panel of the unit which now includes two LED displays, one for the measured oxygen level and the other for an infinitely variable alarm level.
The alarm can be set to allow the unit to warn the operator of raising oxygen levels in the weld purge gas.
This alarm can be audible, visual or audio-visual and cal also be turned of completely if not required.
The unit has two outputs, which allows it to be interfaced to any type of welding equipment.
The first output is an RS-232 and the second is a standard interface output which gives a NO/NC relay contact and arc and purge gas signal.
The unit can be supplied with data logging software, which allows details of weld cycles to be stored and recalled.
The ORB1001 has also seen the introduction of a gas flow pump, which will draw gas from a static area and ensures an adequate gas flow over the integrated sensor.
A gas stabilisation filter also ensures the monitor gives accurate oxygen level reading even during the welding cycle.
The unit also includes a simple mixed gas selection system, which allows the monitor to be used with all popular purge gas mixes.
The whole unit is supplied in a tough ABS protective case, which makes it ideal for site use and transportation.
The ORB1001 is dual voltage and can be easily switched between 115v or 230v input supply.
