Multi-stage valve for multi-dispense applications
The key element in Ozark dispensing systems producing trouble-free, reliable dispensing is the patented Ozark MF4 dispense valve, typically manufactured in stainless steel and co-polymer
Ozark Systems, designers and manufacturers of chemical and colour dispensing systems, have, for nearly 20 years, been at the forefront of producing high-speed, high-accuracy, product specific weighing systems for a variety of industries, worldwide.
The key element in Ozark dispensing systems is the patented Ozark MF4 dispense valve, typically manufactured in stainless steel and co-polymer and designed by Ozark Systems in response to a need for trouble-free, reliable dispensing.
The MF4 valve is air operated and failsafe to close, and is capable of flow rates from 4000 grams per second down to 4 grams per second.
The fast response time, from fully open to fully closed, ensures that target dispenses of products are achieved rapidly.
Multi-stage flows in the above ranges allow a dispense system to weigh quantities ranging from hundreds of kilos to tenths of grams, all from a single valve.
Within a typical dispense system the dispense valves are frequently required to handle products which need recirculating to maintain the integrity of the materials, so a recirculation facility is a standard feature of the Ozark MF4 valve.
When dispensing products into small diameter containers the flow from a dispense valve must be spray and splash-free.
This is particularly important when handling low viscosity materials.
In the Ozark MF4 valve, the liquid exit is designed to give a clean cut-off, which results in no dripping or build-up of the product.
In addition, the valve is suitable for both pumped and gravity fed operations, and will handle liquid media pressure up to and including 8 Bar.
The valve is capable of handling viscosities ranging from water-like materials to those with a mayonnaise-like consistency.
Control of the MF4 valve for systems designed and supplied by Ozark Systems can be by PC or PLC, dependent on the application and the customer requirements.
Overall system sizes range from 3-valve/3-component systems to 48-valve systems for combined colour and chemical applications.
