Packaging Automation, the leading UK manufacturer of tray sealing and filling equipment, has announced a strengthening of its sales team with significant new appointments and internal promotions

Packaging Automation, the leading UK manufacturer of tray sealing and filling equipment, has announced a reorganisation of its sales team as a result of significant new appointments and internal promotions - needed as the company continues to succeed and grow The sales team has been strengthened with the appointment of Jonathan Mildred - who brings 10 years experience to the company

Jonathan, who previously worked as sales project manager for FFP, the flexible packaging specialists, will concentrate his efforts on sales in the south of the UK, while Andy Beeley will develop customers in the north and Ireland.

Andy has extensive experience of packaging technology and moved into the sales team six months ago.

Internal changes have seen John Dumbell promoted to product manager for the tray sealing product group, while promotion for Mark Leaning sees him taking on the same role for the pot sealing and filling product group.

Mark, who has over 15 years experience in the packaging industry, has been responsible for establishing a growing customer base for the full range of Packaging Automation filling and sealing equipment for both food and non-food products.

Another area where PA has enjoyed great success in recent years is the machine hire side of the business.

To facilitate further growth Rebecca Chung has been promoted from internal sales to the position of technical sales focusing on hire equipment.

Rebecca's remit is to develop relationships with customers new to tray sealing to build on the solid foundation that has been established in this important aspect of the Packaging Automation business.

Neil Ashton remains as the sales manager for the business, and comments: "Jonathan's appointment gave us the opportunity to look at the key strengths of our existing sales team and consider how we could utilise these skills to the utmost advantage.

We now have strong product managers for both the tray sealing and pot filling and sealing sides of the business, combined with experienced sales engineers covering the UK.

We anticipate continued strong growth in both these areas.

The hire side of the business has also expanded and Becci's appointment shows our commitment to further developing this important facility.

Through our hire programme, new customers can try out tray sealing equipment without great financial commitment - which is particularly useful for new product launches or where there is demand to get product to shelf very quickly.

Becci has been with the company for five years and we're confident she has the skills and experience to make a valuable contribution in her new role".

Overall the company is confident that the restructuring, backed up with the best design and engineering skills in the business, will further strengthen its position as the leading UK manufacturer of tray sealing and filling equipment.
