Partech develops phosphate removal method

A Partech Instruments product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Oct 6, 2008

Partech Instruments has developed a closed loop feed forward control inlet dosing system for the removal of phosphate.

The removal of phosphate from the effluent of a sewage works is an essential part of the UK urban wastewater and related directives.

Many treatment works have phosphorus discharge consents, but with the continuing high levels of phosphate in untreated water, staying within consent is a continuing problem.

Based on the Micromac C, the closed loop feed forward control inlet dosing system can assist in achieving optimum dosing pump performance, leading to savings in chemical usage.

The Micromac C analyser incorporates a loop flow analysis (LFA) system, a flexible technique that allows the analyser to cope with the background turbidity associated with raw sewage.
