New strategic partnership for Pavilion
Strategic partnership with Tata Consultancy Services provides manufacturers across industries and geographies with best-in-class solutions to improve their manufacturing performance and profitability
Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in advanced process control (APC) and environmental compliance solutions, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global technology services firm, today announced that they have formed a worldwide partnership to deliver Pavilion's manufacturing solutions worldwide.
The strategic partnership provides manufacturers across industries and geographies with best-in-class solutions to improve their manufacturing performance and profitability.
"We selected Pavilion to be our manufacturing partner due to its strong process optimisation and advanced analytic capabilities combined, with its proven track record of customer success," said Shripad Lale, Practice Director, Plant Automation Services, Engineering and Industrial Services Business, Tata Consultancy Services.
"As the gap between enterprise planning and manufacturing operations narrows, our customer's goals for achieving true adaptive manufacturing hinges on our ability to provide cutting-edge predictive analytics and real-time control capabilities".
In response to the manufacturing industry's growing demand for solutions to improve operational performance, the partnership leverages Pavilion proven process modelling, control and optimisation technology and TCS domain expertise, system integration capabilities and global reach.
TCS is one of the leading technology services companies in the world with more than 50,000 consultants and engineers located in 34 countries.
"Our recent survey of manufacturers indicates that they are putting APC at the top of their list of high-value automation projects," said Tom Fiske, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Applications, ARC Advisory Group.
"The combination of Pavilion and TCS capabilities provides customers with a powerful solution that will drive down implementation costs while enhancing the overall return on their investment".
The partnership also includes collaborative research and development concerning emerging manufacturing market opportunities.
Initial areas of focus are in predictive performance management, model-based integration of planning and manufacturing processes and the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) initiative within the pharmaceutical industry.
"Industry leaders such as SAP and Siemens leverage the domain expertise of TCS to deliver world-class solutions to their customers," said Greg Jackson, Vice President (Business Development), Pavilion Technologies.
"We are delighted to join these prominent solution suppliers in achieving the objectives of manufacturing customers through collaboration with TCS.".
