Pavilion cement control solution in Oregon

The Pavilion state-of-the-art model predictive control solution for cement manufacture is to be applied on a single dry kiln at Ash Grove Cement Company in Oregon, to upgrade their control system

Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in model-based software, today announced that Ash Grove Cement Company has signed a sales agreement to deploy the Pavilion cement control solution on a single dry kiln at its Durkee, Oregon plant.

This award marks the 43rd Pavilion control project in the cement, metals and minerals industry.

Currently, Ash Grove Cement operates nine plants in the USA and produces more than 7.8 million tons of cement annually.

"We were looking to upgrade our existing high level control system at Durkee and turned to Pavilion to be our control solution provider because of their reputation in the industry for consistently delivering results that support cement manufacturing business operating objectives, while providing a low cost of ownership," said Ash Grove Cement Company - Western Division vice president of manufacturing, Mike Hrizuk.
