Buzzi Unicem, an Italian cement company and the world's largest cement producer, will apply Pavilion technologies to increase efficiency by reducing energy costs and increasing production

Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in model-based software, today announced an implementation agreement with Buzzi Unicem, an Italian cement company and the world's largest cement producer As part of the agreement, Buzzi Unicem will deploy the Pavilion8 kiln control solution on a kiln at its Robilante operations plant

The solution will enable Buzzi Unicem to improve product quality and enhance production, while further increasing the company's use of secondary fuels.

"Our Dyckerhoff subsidiary realised significant benefits with Pavilion's solutions and we are confident Buzzi Unicem will achieve similar gains at our Robilante plant," said Dott Luigi Buzzi.

Buzzi Unicem selected the Pavilion8 kiln control solution after achieving successful results at multiple operation sites at Dyckerhoff AG, a German subsidiary company.

The Robilante project affirmed the Pavilion ability to address the needs of cement manufacturers throughout Europe.
