Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in model-based software, announces that it is one of SAP partners for the newly formed Industry Value Network for chemicals

The SAP Industry Value Network for chemicals provides SAP chemical customers with advanced solutions to achieve next generation in innovation and business optimisation.

Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in model-based software, announces that it has been named one of the SAP partners for the newly formed Industry Value Network (IVN) for Chemicals, a group of industry leaders working together to deliver high value solutions to SAP chemical customers.

Created by SAP, the IVN is a unique ecosystem that brings together independent software vendors (ISVs), systems integrators (SIs) and leading chemical companies with SAP to co-innovate high-value solutions anchored by SAP NetWeaver as a common platform.

Pavilion is among a group of industry leading companies invited to join the SAP IVN for Chemicals.

NOVA Chemicals is one of the first chemical manufacturers to implement a solution resulting from the IVN initiative.

Working together, SAP, Pavilion and NOVA Chemicals have delivered significant benefits in just a few months through margin improvement, increased production and enhanced efficiencies.

The solution integrates the Pavilion flagship model predictive control (MPC) and model predictive intelligence applications with SAP xMII and SAP NetWeaver Portal.

The integrated solution enables NOVA Chemicals planners, business unit managers and plant management to make more profitable decisions based on instantaneous and predictive insight into production performance and market demands.

"As part of the ecosystem created by the IVN, we gain greater insight into customer needs as well as an improved ability to deliver results based on the SAP technology platform," said Ralph Carter, president and CEO, Pavilion Technologies.

"By leveraging standards-based approaches and aligning the development of our unique solutions with SAP, we can reduce the cycle time of innovation to generate added value for our customers.".
