Pavilion Technologies strong growth in biofuels
A surge of new customer wins has increased the Pavilion Technologies share of the ethanol market to more than 20 percent of operational ethanol plants in the USA
Further biofuels producers, including East Kansas Agri-Energy, VeraSun Energy, Mid-Missouri Energy, Quad County Corn Processors and Yuma Ethanol have all selected the Pavilion Ethanol Solution to increase production, improve yields and reduce energy costs.
The Pavilion model-predictive control (MPC) solutions are used by 25 leading US based manufacturers in the production of more than a billion gallons of ethanol per year.
Soaring demand for environmentally responsible alternatives to foreign oil has created a thriving market for fuel ethanol worldwide.
Ethanol manufacturers are turning to Pavilion to optimise plant performance in order to capitalise on this record demand.
Pavilion applications for the fermentation, dryer, evaporator, thermal oxidiser, mole sieve and distillation processes, as well as full plant-wide deployment, reduce energy utilisation and increase ethanol yield across the plant.
Specific results have included:.
* Increased ethanol production by two to 10 percent.
* Increased ethanol yields by 2.5 to five percent.
* Reduced energy costs by three to six percent.
* Reduced product quality variability by 50 percent.
* Reduced air emissions by up to 20 percent.
"The Pavilion Ethanol Solution enabled us to achieve more stable management of the beer column which improved overall plant stabilisation and resulted in higher fermenter performance" said Little Sioux Corn Processors Plant Manager, Chris Williams: "Thanks to the Pavilion extended stillage/dryer control application, we have increased plant capacity and improved the bottom line without any additional investment in infrastructure".
"The Pavilion commitment to delivering financial and environmental benefits to our customers is evidenced by our 300 percent year over year sales growth in the ethanol industry," said Pavilion Technologies CEO, Ralph Carter: "Biofuels is an arena that is seeing tremendous innovation.
We are thrilled to be a part of that innovation by providing ethanol manufacturers with leading-edge technologies that enhance profitability today".
Background to the success.
The Pavilion Ethanol Solution has helped over 25 major ethanol producers increase production capacity and yield, reduce costs, enhance product quality and maintain environmental compliance.
Pavilion provides a suite of control, environmental compliance and performance management applications across all key areas of the ethanol production process - fermentation, dryer, evaporator, thermal oxidiser, mole sieve and distillation.
The Pavilion Ethanol Solution leverages Pavilion8, a modular software platform based on a modern Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and predictive modeling analytic engine.
Pavilion8 combines powerful technology for modeling, control, monitoring, analysis, warehousing, visualisation and integration to provide ethanol solutions with fast time-to-value and high sustained value to capitalise on dynamic market opportunities.
