IP68 sealed connectors for harsh
environments
New from PEI-Genesis is the Amphenol Barracuda range of IP68 sealed connectors, which have been specifically designed for use in harsh industrial applications involving water, dust or spray
Fully RoHS compliant, the connectors are available via the PEI market-leading 48-hour assembly service, which the company achieves by carrying vast stocks of piece-parts and using its own customised production machines to automate the connector assembly process The robust Barracuda bodies are moulded from glass-filled nylon, and the connectors come in 3-way, 4-way, 6-way and 7-way versions, each of which can be specified with pin or socket screw-terminal contacts made from nickel-plated brass
Suitable for cables with outside diameters of between 6 and 8mm, the connectors can be supplied in three styles - in-line plug, in-line receptacle and panel-mount receptacle - with dust caps available for all.
