Parker Hannifin has launched a range of cost effective three-axis stepper drives specifically designed to meet the needs of system builders and OEMs Based upon its highly successful XL family, the new XLT series brings new standards of economy to installations and uses industry standard power supplies and step direction and control inputs

Housed in a single open-frame package and operating from single DC supply, with current ratings of 2.5, 5.0 and 8.0A, the XLT drives offer a variety of step resolutions to suit the end user's application needs.

When used with a standard 1.8deg step motor, the drive can provide 400, 800, 2,000 and 4,000 steps per revolution.

The drive can be easily configured with common drive resolutions and the individual axis current levels can all be set via onboard DIL switches.

Control is achieved with industry standard TTL-level differential step and direction control signals.

The drive can be programmed to work between 50 and 100% of peak rating and offers comprehensive fault correction thanks to its individual fault outputs, a common composite fault output and a fault LED indicator.

Housed within an aluminium open-frame L-bracket, the drives can operate in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50C.

They come in three variants - the XLT25, 50 and 80 - offering a range of inputs and outputs, so end users can select the model that best suits their application. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin Electromechanical Automation ...
