Pepperl+Fuchs maintains its lead in fieldbus, explosion protection and related technologies, with new announcements at Interkama

Cooper Industries is a UDS$5 billion company headquartered in Houston, dealing, among others, with electrical products and tools.
The ISB activity was originally a business unit of CEAG, a company Cooper acquired in 1995.
CEAG had set up the ISB business by migrating the companies Digitable and Apparatebau Hundsbach, and their own activities at the facility in Buehl, Germany.
The products manufactured by ISB, including Remote I/O, DIN Rail devices and Zener Diode Barriers, fit to the core offerings of the Pepperl+Fuchs Process Automation division, making the acquisition an attractive extension for both the Components+Technology and Systems+Solutions business units.
The hazardous location Remote I/O System and the Ex-Hub fieldbus interface device will give Pepperl+Fuchs the opportunity to fill gaps in their current portfolio and to strengthen their market leadership position in new technologies.
The goal of the integration is to continue the major product lines and to provide a seamless supply to its customers with product manufactured at the facility in Buehl.
Pepperl+Fuchs will continue the production and retain all employees of the former ISB business unit.
With this acquisition, Pepperl+Fuchs once again underlines its ambition to maintain and extend its leading position in the international market of fieldbus connectivity and intrinsic safety protection technology for the process automation industries.
