Thanks to its understanding of the needs of compressed air users, Parker Hannifin has launched a new filter element that saves users significant costs in terms of both energy and maintenance Due to their lower differential pressure drop, Parker Hannifin's new XE filter elements reduce the work a compressor is doing and hence the energy it requires - an important fact when one considers that for every 0.1 bar increase in differential pressure in a compressed air system, the energy requirement is increased by 1% (Source CAGI)

The point at which a compressed air filter must be changed out is determined by the pressure drop across it.

Since the XE filter elements start life with a lower pressure drop, they will take longer to reach the point at which filter change out is required.

This longer working life means there is also less of a maintenance requirement.

Maintenance is also reduced because the compressor will be required to do less work as a result of the lower pressure drop.

Typical savings can be as much as GBP252 (EUR379) per year per installed filter cartridge - depending on the number of work shifts.

This is based on GBP10/100kWh (EUR14.86/100kWh) as a European average electrical cost. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filtration Division ...
