New heavy duty vehicle transmission
filter

The Racor Filter Division of Parker Hannifin has launched a high performance transmission filtration product specifically designed for heavy duty and fixed bed commercial vehicles.

The new filter offers greater than ever levels of protection from contaminants for transmission lubrication systems, resulting in vehicles with long, low maintenance service lives and, ultimately, reduced operating costs The new filter uses multi-layer synthetic micro-fibre media, designed to ensure maximum dirt holding capacity, for effective filtration and a long service life

In particular, the new filter is capable of providing greater than 99% efficiency against particulate contamination, down to 5micron in size, helping to keep lubricating oils cleaner for longer and thus to protect drive and transmission components.

The new filter has been developed following extensive field trials, which have resulted in a solution that is able to operate reliably and consistently at temperatures between -40C and +130C, making it ideal for use in vehicles around the world, regardless of environmental conditions.

The filter also offers flow rates of 0-30 l/min and can withstand operating pressures of between 0 and 7 bar, making it sufficiently robust to withstand the rigours of heavy duty systems in both on- and off-road vehicles.

This new filtration unit is currently supplied as a spin-on filter which mounts directly onto a built-in head cast into the transmission system, and is also available as a spin-in green element. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filtration Division ...
