Complete electrical and physical specifications, accessories and ordering information are covered in the datasheet.
The 8-page, full color datasheet also provides information on specific uses of the WaterMonitor, which provides an accuracy of +0.05% FS total error band (TEB).
These uses include measuring water levels in environmental and land management applications, such as ground water, surface water, and open channel level measurement.
Important features identified in the datasheet include the transducer's compliance with the demanding accuracy specifications of the USGS Office of Surface Water and how the WaterMonitor combines an accurate pressure sensor with power conservative microcomputer circuitry, giving users a high level of functionality.
Additionally, the datasheet outlines the transducer's variety of logging modes including linear, linear averaging, event triggered and logarithmic sampling modes; customisable level ranges to 700 feet (210 m) H2O; networkable RS-485 electrical interface using SDI-12 protocol with selectable baud rates up to 19,200; quick-disconnect cable attachment; field replaceable battery with a 3-year nominal life; and on-board temperature measurement.
The datasheet details how users can set-up and initialise transducers, upload transducer data, create a tabular and graphical representation of the data, and perform real-time data sampling using KITS, an intuitive application software package developed by Pressure Systems, from either a laptop in the field or a desktop computer.
The applications software and firmware upgrades are available on Pressure Systems' web site at no charge.
