G75M improves sealing in extreme conditions

A Precision Polymer Engineering product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 5, 2008

Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) has launched a multipurpose perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound that offers resistance to a range of chemicals.

Perlast G75M is said to improve sealing in many extreme conditions, including high-speed rotation, high temperature and high pressure applications.

G75M has a compression set of 14 per cent and is particularly effective in mechanical seals and multi-substance chemical plants.

It can be used in pumps, valves, couplings and fittings as well as many other demanding sealing situations.

G75M can be moulded into O-rings (any size up to 2m/6.5ft diameter) and custom shapes.

PPE said the long-term sealing efficiency of G75M provides manufacturers and processors a number of benefits, including extended maintenance intervals, reduced downtime, lower cost of ownership and improved production efficiencies.
