Courses by Profibus Ireland are just announced
There are three courses on offer: the Certified Profibus Installers Course, the Certified Profibus Engineers Course, and the Profibus Maintenance Technician course
The two key areas of concern for the end users are Installation and Diagnostics of Profibus networks.
Often a simple problem such as termination can play havoc with the network and result in down time.
The Irish Profibus Competency Centre(PCC) will be running a Profibus Installers course aimed at individuals who are involved in specification, installation and operation of Profibus network.
This is a one day course covering both theoretical and practical aspects of the Profibus networks installation.
The course will cover: Introduction to Profibus DP and PA networks, Profibus networks installation guidelines, diagnosing common Profibus faults, and Intrinsically Safe Profibus networks.
There are also practical sessions after each course module.
The course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination.
The successful candidates will be issued a Certificate valid for three years.
The course is scheduled provisionally for 18th November at the University of Limerick.
The course cost is Euro 350, which covers: course material, refreshments, a three course lunch, and certificate for successful completion.
