New training courses on automation in Cork
The growth of Profibus in Irish manufacturing facilities means an increased need for Profibus training and support, in particular with new courses available, and back to back training courses in Cork
It is a two day course aimed at maintenance and operations personnel and bridges the gap between the Profibus Certified Installers Course and Profibus Certified Engineers course.
The next course is planned again for Drogheda on 4th and 5th October 2005.
The course covers an extensive use of diagnostics tools such as hand held units, analysers, and the oscilloscope for fault finding.
Some of the faults that can occur in a running installations are simulated.
Problems arising from use of shorter cable runs between two devices, stub lines, power failure, wrong configuration, wrong GSD files, faulty slave, interference, etc are demonstrated.
The feedback from the first course has been very encouraging and confirms the need for such a course.
The plan is bring this course to a certified status through the Training Working group of Profibus International in Germany.
