The installers course is a one-day course covering both theoretical and practical aspects of a Profibus network installation.The course will cover.

Delegates from Profibus Ireland attended the PI Competency Centres ninth meeting, to hear of technology updates, and have several training courses scheduled in Ireland this Autumn
* Diagnosing common Profibus faults.
* Intrinsically Safe Profibus networks.
There are also practical sessions after each course module.
The course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination.
The successful candidates will become 'Certified Profibus Installers'.
Graduates of the course will also have the right to have their name listed in the Certified Profibus Installer section of the Profibus web site.
The Profibus engineers course is a 3-day course covering both theoretical and practical aspects of Profibus networks.
The course will cover.
* Profibus Overview.
* Bus Physics and Wiring.
* Profibus Basics.
* Profibus network components, Master Class 1 and 2.
* Bus parameters.
* GSD Files.
* Profibus Telegrams.
* Multi-Master Systems.
* Extended Diagnostics, Bus Monitors, and DP-Extensions.
There are also practical sessions after each course module.
The course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination.
The successful candidates will be issued a Certificate valid for two years.
Graduates of the course will also have the right to have their name listed in the Certified Profibus Engineer section of the Profibus web site.
The Profibus maintainance course is a two day course covering configuration and diagnostics aspects of Profibus networks.
The course will cover.
* Profibus Overview, Bus Physics and Wiring.
* Profibus Basics.
* Profibus network components.
* Cable properties and specifications.
* RS 485 and MBP-IS properties.
* Cabling techniques, grounding and shielding.
* Strategy for localising problems.
* Measurement tools.
There are also practical sessions after each course module.
Each participant will be issued a Certificate of attendance.
Scheduled dates and locations are as follows.
* Certified Installers Course 11 Oct 2006.
* Limerick Certified Engineers Course 18-20 Oct 2006 * Cork Profibus Maintanance Technician Course 25 and 26 Oct 2006 Limerick.
