Pruftechnik, the inventors of laser shaft alignment, have launched Rotalign Ultra, the world's first laser shaft alignment system to feature a backlit colour screen.

The system which is water, shock and dust-proof is a brand new platform for Pruftechnik laser alignment systems.

The computer, based on the high performance Intel XScale processor provides fast data processing with comprehensive and straightforward features which makes laser alignment of even the most complex systems simple to perform.

The large scratchproof transflective colour screen ensures the display is clearly visible in bright sunlight as well as dark or artificial light conditions.

The ergonomically designed Rotalign Ultra computer offers USB and Bluetooth connectivity for interface with printers and PCs allowing alignment reports be produced in full colour.

Life-like machine graphics are used for both screen display and in the reports generated.

User defined or even pre-set machine templates with up to 14 machines in a machine train is possible, and the entire train can be displayed in one screen as a complete alignment picture with coupling and machine foot corrections plus full user details including time and date of alignment measurement.

The system employs the patented single laser technology invented by Pruftechnik, a 5-axis receiver that uses dual position detectors and a built-in electronic inclinometer for the simultaneous monitoring of the horizontal and vertical machine displacement, and needs less than 60 degrees rotation from any start position and in either direction for complete alignment and correction results to be displayed.
