Optical flow measurement of oil flares

Photon Control announces its latest white paper "Flare metering with optics: from blue-sky technology to the real world," written jointly by Photon Control, ConocoPhillips and Letton-Hall Group

The new white paper : "Flare metering with optics: from blue-sky technology to the real world" reviews development, testing and deployment of the Photon Control Focus Probe optical flow meter, drawing on 11 man-years of field operation to conclude that the meters are more accurate and dependable than any previous flare metering devices.

The meters were demonstrated to help in flare reduction, resulting in higher profits and lower emissions at refining facilities.

The white paper was presented in Norway at the recent North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop - the pre-eminent conference on flow measurement for oil and gas industries worldwide - and is available from the Photon Control website.
