The modular, manageable switch system from the Phoenix Contact Factory Line range is designed specifically for industrial use for Ethernet applications on automation systems, and offers flexible cabling.

The modular manageable switch (MMS) consists of a head station and up to two side-by-side mounting expansion modules.

Each unit can take up to a maximum of eight ports, enabling expansion stages up to 24 ports.

For the first time, advanced modular two-port interface modules provide a flexible cable connection, either bottom entry or front access, and designed respectively for twisted pair, glass fiber or polymer and HCS (Hard Clad Silica) cables.

The compact design with a depth of 110 mm provides flexibility giving a choice of installation, whether this is a control cabinet or decentralized control boxes.

The robust switch not only meets all industry standards regarding EMC and mechanical loads, it is also designed with vibration proof push-pull locking RJ45 connectors as standard.

Management functions include, Web Based Management (WBM) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) makes configuration, setup and diagnostics easier.

Phoenix Contact is one of the world leaders in developing and manufacturing connectivity solutions and automation components.

Its principal product ranges include: printed circuit board connectors; modular terminal blocks; fieldbus components; surge voltage protection systems; industrial plug and socket connectors and interface units.

In all of these areas, Phoenix Contact can offer technical expertise and cost effective solutions.
