Wireless interface shown at Instrumentation North

A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Mar 8, 2004

Phoenix Contact will show for the first time its new unidirectional wireless transmission system, enabling remote sensors to communicate to a central control point, at Instrumentation North in Leeds

Proven to provide reliable transmission of one 4-20mA analogue and two digital signals over distances of up to 3000 metres, it uses the licence exempt 2.4GHz ISM Band.

Based on FHSS technology, it is capable of tolerating high levels of interference and allows multiple systems to operate in the same area.

To further complement its control solutions for the process and instrumentation industry, the full range of ATEX approved rail-mounting terminals will be on show, together with supportive documentation, posters and CDs on the latest Ex Standards.

Phoenix Contact is one of the world leaders in developing and manufacturing connectivity solutions and automation components.

Its principal product ranges include: printed circuit board connectors; modular terminal blocks; fieldbus components; surge voltage protection systems; industrial plug and socket connectors and interface units.

In all of these areas, Phoenix Contact can offer technical expertise and cost effective solutions.
