Low-cost network expansion to field
level

Phoenix Contact can now provide rapid and inexpensive network expansion down to field level with the FL Switch SF standard switches from the Factory Line range

Phoenix Contact can now provide rapid and inexpensive network expansion down to field level with the FL Switch SF standard switches from the Factory Line range Their flat construction and high port density, make the components suitable for universal applications, including control panels and compact terminal boxes

The FL Switch SF range has eight or sixteen RJ-45 ports and supports the auto-negotiation functionality for 10/100 Mbps transfer rates in mixed mode.

With this function, the linking of network segments or end devices can be set with identical or differing data transfer rates.

The autocrossing function renders the differentiation between the 1:1 and crossover types of cable assembly superfluous.

The switches automatically detect the assignment of the Ethernet cables and adjust accordingly.

With the fiber-optic cable ports, the segment length of a network can bridge up to two kilometers, ideal in harsh environments.

The switches have a redundant power supply and a zero-voltage signalling contact.

The FL Switch SF range, together with the inexpensive TX versions, offer an extremely cost-effective set-up of Ethernet networks for industrial applications.

Phoenix Contact is one of the world leaders in developing and manufacturing connectivity solutions and automation components.

Its principal product ranges include: printed circuit board connectors; modular terminal blocks; fieldbus components; surge voltage protection systems; industrial plug and socket connectors and interface units.

In all of these areas, Phoenix Contact can offer technical expertise and cost effective solutions. Request a free brochure from Phoenix Contact ...
