Phoenix Contact, the manufacturer of electronic interface and industrial automation technology, has acquired a 13 percent company share in connectBlue, a provider of industrial Bluetooth solutions

The companies are aiming to strengthen their strategic partnership, which is focused on wireless communication solutions for industrial applications Their intention is to jointly develop innovative products for automation and interface applications, based on Bluetooth and other wireless technologies

The Malmo based, Swedish company connectBlue with 15 employees supplies Bluetooth solutions for industrial use.

They provide standard products as well as client-specific hardware and software designs for customers world-wide.

The connectBlue partnership with Phoenix Contact bolsters the company's position in the market as a reliable, efficient provider of products and services to the industrial automation sector.

For some time, the two companies have been collaborating on a number of projects to integrate Bluetooth communication in industrial interface and automation products.

One of the current projects is to develop a real-time communication solution for wireless, Bluetooth-based transmissions of control signals within automation systems.

This will simplify the integration of moving and rotating machine parts into automation networks significantly and reduce wear and tear.

To Phoenix Contact, the equity investment now legally sealed signifies an expansion of the company's technological position in the field of communication solutions based on Bluetooth and other radio technologies.
