Developed by combining a redundant industrial PC with a panel PC, the PPC 5515 system from Phoenix Contact is the solution for soft PLC applications requiring high availability and flexibility The operating system and application are passed on within the multiple hard drive system or organised redundantly via a separate RAID Controller

If the main hard drive fails, the second hard drive takes over, without the machine or system having to be stopped.

The disk drives are housed in an industrial removable rack and can be exchanged quickly.

The PPC 5515 system has an inbuilt temperature and fan speed monitoring feature with LED display, so that the PC operating status and the PLC status (Run/Stop/Error) can be displayed online.

All monitoring values can also be read out via the operating system.

Based on Pentium M technology, this system provides a powerful and highly available solution for controlling and monitoring machines and systems.
