Furthermore, certain models have ATEX approval (II 3GD Eex nC T6) for use in hazardous areas.
All of the new switches benefit from a sensing range of 8mm and may be used in safety-related control systems conforming to Category 4 of BS EN 954-1.
The integral cables make the switches easier to keep clean in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, and the long sensing range ensures reliable operation, even if the switch and actuator become misaligned due to worn guard hinges or other mechanical components.
Fifteen models of the new PSENmag magnetic switch/actuator are available initially, giving customers a choice of either a 5m or 10m integral cable.
These devices can be connected individually or in series via a PSEN interface module.
