The National Health Service is to be congratulated on its 60th birthday, but there is another life-saving organisation that is also celebrating its 60th birthday this year: Pilz!
He therefore has an in-depth understanding of factory automation and an 'inside knowledge' of automotive customer requirements.
While with his previous employer, Paul studied for his NEBOSH general certificate, which supplemented his existing working knowledge of machinery safety standards.
As part of the Pilz Competency Management Scheme, however, Paul will soon be attending the Pilz four-day City and Guilds course in machinery safety.
Pilz is currently undertaking a great many plant assessments for customers throughout the UK, so Paul is expecting to be working on these alongside the Pilz consultants.
He will also be undertaking risk assessments and safety checks, and working with customers to CE mark machinery in accordance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive.
In addition, Paul will be presenting some of the Pilz training courses.
