Switching between both brushed and brushless motors on the PMC90 (with hall sensors/encoders connected) is done automatically without requiring jumpers or additional set-up.
For extended network control, it is possible to daisy chain up to 31 drives together on a RS-485 network, using standard RJ-45 connectors.
The internal 40kHz PWM switching frequency is twice that of most conventional drives, and direct connection to PML Pancake motors is possible without an external choke.
Built-in safety features include short circuit and overheating protection for total reliability.
The compact design and small footprint make this drive particularly suited for use in confined spaces.
Typical applications involving both brushed and brushless motors include process plant and equipment, high performance robotic systems, general industry and factory automation, winding machines and medical/scientific equipment.
Also available in the drives range is the PMA 90/180, a non-programmable servo amplifier unit featuring the same dual brushed and brushless motor control flexibility.
PML prides itself on close co-operation with its customers, often designing bespoke solutions to meet an exact specification, backed by full customer support.
