Two chances to see new concept in weighing control
Penko Engineering will demonstrate a new concept in total industrial control for weighing, filling and the automation of mixing plants at two upcoming exhibitions in Utrecht.
Penko Engineering will demonstrate a new concept in total industrial control for weighing, filling and the automation of mixing plants at two upcoming exhibitions in Utrecht: Industrial Processing (5th-8th October) and Het Instrument 2004 (1st-5th November) For the first time, Penko's adaptable and expandable PenkoNet system combines a suite of software and hardware with the latest networking techniques to offer a choice of measurement schemes depending on where the control and instrumentation are located in relation to the machines.
In this way, processes can be controlled centrally or individually as required.
PenkoNet systems can start from a single eight-input/four-output compact dosing controller and extend as demands require to a maximum of 60 weighers with a combined capability of 2640 inputs or outputs.
Outputs can be analogue or digital and the system is designed for a wide range of connections including RS232, RS422, Profibus and Ethernet.
Penko's range of products is fully compatible with the PenkoNet concept.
The range includes ASSI software for calibrating weighers, Pi software for sequence control, operator terminals for decentralised control, visualisation equipment to provide the operator with a system overview of each step of the process and BCS software which provides comprehensive management information.
BCS software provides formula storage, production order management, administration of raw materials and finished products, batch reports, tracking and tracing, alarm status indication and more - all presented on a clear, unambiguous display.
The modularity of the PenkoNet concept extends right across the board software and hardware.
With each component of the system, appropriate software is supplied to create exactly the process control and software management required, piece by piece.
This fully programmable and expandable system enables engineers and technicians to develop a tailored solution quickly and economically by themselves, or with the help of Penko's specialist engineering team.
