Kevin Rayment has been named as the new Managing Director of Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing Europe

As the new Managing Director of Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing Europe, Kevin Rayment will lead an eight-strong management team, and be responsible for heading up their UK manufacturing operations in Christchurch, Dorset and Cwmfelinfach, Gwent as well as its sales offices in Germany and the USA Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing Europe in July 2004, Kevin held Board positions at Accentus and GTL Microsystems

"Kevin is a strong leader with a wealth of experience in operations management, business development and engineering" commented Ray New, Vice President of Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing: "He has provided significant leadership to our UK based operations and will be an added attribute to the overall Curtiss-Wright Controls management team.

I'm confident Kevin will continue to pursue our strategy of successful growth and long-term profitability".

Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing Europe is comprised of two former Penny and Giles business divisions which it acquired in 2002 - Penny and Giles Aerospace and Penny and Giles Controls.

Through these two companies it supplies a range of position measurement, control and recording solutions to OEMs in a wide variety of markets including automotive and motorsport, materials handling, off-highway equipment, construction, hydraulics and pneumatics, and aerospace and defence.

"The increased synergy between the two businesses provides us with a fantastic opportunity," explains Kevin, who is aiming at significant growth for the company: "The market is driving a natural migration between the two offerings.

Industry is demanding the higher specification in performance-critical components that we've been supplying to the aerospace market for more than 50 years - and aerospace is under pressure to find high volume solutions that can still offer reliability and accuracy".

Kevin, who will be based in Christchurch, holds a BEng (Hons) Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portsmouth University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Bournemouth University. Request free introductory details about products from Penny + Giles ...
