The latest addition to the Prominent Dulcodes range of UV disinfection systems was on show at IWEX recently: it is designed for the disinfection of salt water from thermal springs or seawater

The latest addition to the Prominent comprehensive Dulcodes range of UV disinfection systems was put on show at IWEX this year.

The Dulcodes-K UV system features a Hi-Flux low pressure UV lamp with special amalgam technology and has a high-intensity UV output which is largely independent of temperature.

It can be used with water temperatures up to 70C.

Designed for the disinfection of salt water such as thermal spring water or seawater, the Dulcodes K series has radiation chambers manufactured from high grade UV-stabilised PE-HD plastic.

Special manufacturing techniques mean that the system can be used with operating pressures up to 4 bar.

With 6 units in the range, flow rates of up to 170 m3/h can be accommodated, depending on the transmission.

The de-luxe controller features a large integrated graphical display for the UV-C sensor signal.

This allows lamp ageing, build-up of deposits on the lamp protection tube or change in water quality to be detected.

The controller may be programmed for different flushing, warning and shutdown procedures.
