Two new features for the PPMA show

A PPMA Show product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Feb 28, 2008

The PPMA Show, the annual UK showcase for processing and packaging machinery, has launched two brand new features for the 2008 event, EcoTec and FoodTec

EcoTec and FoodTec are special dedicated areas that have been created to complement the unique machinery focus of the PPMA Show, and provide an added incentive for processing and packaging professionals to visit the exhibition.

The two new areas will be situated adjacent to the main machinery section of the show.

EcoTec will showcase companies who can offer assistance to manufacturers' environmental challenges while FoodTec will focus on ancillary equipment and materials related to the processing and packaging of food products.

Special packages have been created for first-time exhibitors taking part in these new sections.

PPMA Chief Executive Chris Buxton says the features are part of the PPMA on-going commitment to develop the exhibition to meet changing visitor and exhibitor requirements and maintain its market leading position.

"The environment is a hugely influential factor today in all areas of processing and packaging while food is one of the largest and most buoyant sectors," he comments: "The EcoTec and FoodTec features therefore ideally complement the main focus of the PPMA Show.

In addition, the purchasing and specifying responsibilities of many of our visitors are continuing to widen and we need to reflect this with a comprehensive range of exhibitors that will enable visitors to gain maximum benefit from their attendance.

We believe the new features are a really positive development that will ensure that the PPMA Show remains a key date in the exhibition calendar for buyers and users of processing and packaging machinery".

Those key dates for your diary are from 30th September to 2nd October for the 2008 event, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham.
