The PPMA show, the annual UK showcase for processing and packaging machinery, will be welcoming nearly 40 first time exhibitors when it opens its doors at the NEC, Birmingham on 30 September

These new Exhibitors include ADG Packaging Systems, DC Norris and Company, Habasit Rossi, Jokab Safety UK, Landfill Alternatives, Newtec Packaging, Scaime, SMC Pneumatics (UK), Smiths Detection and UPM Conveyors DC Norris and Company (DCN) is exhibiting at the show following its highly successful participation at Total Processing and Packaging last year

"We had a great many enquiries and a lot of interest in our products," said their Annabel Norris: "We also found that we had pharmaceutical enquires as well as food, and this is an area into which we are expanding" (Grammar corrected in reverence to Churchillian style - Ed).

At the PPMA Show, DCN will be exhibiting the latest additions to its product range - The Jet Cook System and the Globe Head Agitator.

New machinery featured by ADG Packaging Systems is expected to include a range of servo driven in-line liquid filling machines and a robotic spoon and insert placer.

"ADG Packaging Machinery has been operating for just over a year and PPMA 2008 gives us an ideal opportunity to show the UK market how the established range of Albro Dico Gravfil filling and capping equipment has been developed still further," says sales and marketing director Ian Hillaby: "PPMA stands out as a relaxed but very practical and businesslike event at which ADG will be able to present its latest machinery, new manufacturing facilities and recent turnkey contracts".

Other highlights at the show from first time exhibitors include the new Tube Clamp Connector range from Berger Tools, the Smiths Detection Eagle X-ray system, the new Scaime digital transmitter eNod, a low cost and powerful solution to convert any strain gauge sensor into an intelligent digital system, and the stainless steel and new all-plastic HMWPE belt conveyors from UPM Conveyors.

TM Robotics will show the new Toshiba Machine SCARA robot, the TH650A, a mid-size robot that meets demands for improved pick and place functionality, while Landfill Alternatives will demonstrate the upgraded CK51 Baler suitable for processing both cardboard and plastic.

The PPMA Show takes place from September 30th to October 2nd 2008 and is being co-located with Interplas, the leading UK exhibition for the polymer sector, which will incorporate the Inspex feature for the quality control and measurement industries.

These linked exhibitions will create the largest UK manufacturing trade event in the autumn of 2008.

Visitors can now register online for the PPMA Show, and will also receive free access into Interplas which takes place in the adjacent hall.
