A Parker Instrumentation product story

Parker Instrumentation has been selected as the preferred supplier of fluid instrumentation tube fittings and valves by the Borealis Group polyolefin plastics manufacturing plants in Belgium

Parker Instrumentation has been selected as the preferred supplier of fluid instrumentation tube fittings and valves by the Borealis Group polyolefin plastics manufacturing plants in Beringen and Kallo, Belgium.

The strategic agreement allows Borealis to realise cost savings by simplifying its supply chain, and follows an evaluation by Borealis that ensured Parker's components met their stringent technical requirements.

The supply agreement is being implemented by the Parker regional distributor, Belgian Instrumentation Products (BIP), who reserve a stockholding of components exclusively for Borealis that is equivalent to some 20% of the company's annual requirements.

"We are delighted to have been chosen as the Borealis partner for these components," says Guus Worm, Parker Territory Manager for Belgium.

"Corporate supply chain agreements like this have numerous benefits for the client in addition to competitive pricing, including reduced on-site stockholdings, faster deliveries, and enhanced technical support".

"Thanks to the buffer stock BIP holds, Borealis has been able to reduce the scale of its on-site warehouse holdings significantly, and now only needs to have a few items on the shelf to handle emergency repairs.

As these items are used, new orders are automatically generated", adds Paul Vercammen of BIP.
