Parker Hannifin releases desiccant air dryers

A Parker Hannifin product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2008

Parker Hannifin has brought out the Moduflex Dry Air System, a range of point of use desiccant air dryers that increases the efficiency of compressed air systems and reduces maintenance costs.

The unit can achieve a pressure dewpoint of -70C in accordance with ISO 8573.1 Class 1.1.1, making it suitable for critical applications and offering operators a simple and inexpensive means of compliance with industry standards.

The Moduflex Dry Air system gives effective filtration at the point of use, solving the problem of contamination in compressed air applications.

The quiet-running unit can be set up in less than 15 minutes because of multiple in-line inlet and outlet connection ports.

With IP66/NEMA 4 protection as standard, the compact and lightweight unit can be safely floor-, bench- or wall-mounted.

The Moduflex system combines long-lasting quick change filters and dryer combi-cartridges, making operation and maintenance simple and cost effective.

An alarm alerts the user when servicing is required.

The unit is able to clean and dry compressed air down to -40C pressure dewpoint as standard, meeting ISO 8573.1 Class 1.2.1, while a pressure dewpoint of -70C meets ISO 8573.1 Class 1.1.1 for critical applications.

The Moduflex Dry Air system is ideal for applications such as CNC machine tools, co-ordinate measuring devices, laboratory instrumentation and packaging, process and automation systems.

The system can be specified with a number of additional features, such as remote indication of servicing requirements, a wall mounting kit for securing the dryer vertically or at a 45deg angle to a wall or canopy and the facility to pipe away the regeneration exhaust air for silent operation.
