The membrane technology is increasingly used with, for example, fuel cells, particle measurement apparatus, and in respiratory care.
The PH and MH Series humidifiers rapidly add water vapour to gases without altering the concentrations of other gases present, or altering any particles.
Humidifying is a self-regenerating, continuous process.
The humidifiers are ruggedly constructed yet light in weight, with no moving parts, no power requirements, and very high corrosion resistance.
For fuel cells and other applications where high humidity is desired, the humidifiers can completely saturate gases with water, from small flows of a few hundred millilitres with the MH Series, to thousands of litres per minute with the PH Series.
Water can be recovered from exhaust gases and returned to the process, or liquid water can serve as the source of humidity.
In respiratory care, treatment of supplemental oxygen by MH series humidifiers prevents patient dehydration without the noise of bubblers or the requirement for sterile water.
In particle measurement apparatus they are used to maintain a constant humidity for comparison purposes.
They also assist in the detection of extremely small particles by saturating the air stream, making the particles observable.
Nafion humidifiers are available exclusively from Perma Pure LLC and its distributors.
Perma Pure is a member of the Halma group of companies.
