Probe mounted sampling system increases
accuracy
Cool, dry, clean gas samples are critical to accurately monitor stack emissions: the new 1640 Mini-GASS Sampling System from Perma Pure increases accuracy and reduces maintenance
Cool, dry, clean gas samples are critical to accurately monitor stack emissions, yet stack gases are typically wet, hot and dirty To better prepare stack gases for analysis, Perma Pure introduces the 1640 Mini-GASS (Gas Analysis Sampling System)

New gas sampling system for demanding applications
Gas samples are typically wet, hot and dirty, but analysers need samples dry, cool and clean: The new GASS-II Gas Analysis Sampling System is designed to prepare demanding gas samples for analysis
This probe mounted gas conditioning system allows power plants, refineries, incinerators, and other industrial firms to more accurately and reliably monitor smoke stack emissions.
The 1640 Mini-GASS extracts sample gas from a smoke stack via an integrated sample probe and passes the gas through a series of filters, scrubbers and dryers to produce an analysis-ready sample.
These components, including the Nafion dryers, exclusive to Perma Pure, remove water, acid mist and ash, without altering the concentrations of the gases to be analysed.
Nafion technology dries more completely than chillers and condensers, eliminating water interference with sample and calibration gases.
By mounting the gas conditioning unit directly on the sample probe, heated lines are no longer required to transport the sample from the stack to the analyser, reducing cost and dispensing of associated maintenance.
The probe mount also ensures that the gas is treated right after it is extracted from the stack, immediately removing water from the sample and eliminating unwanted chemical reactions, while increasing accuracy of analysis.
The system also reduces calibration cost by decreasing calibration time and consumption of costly gas standards.
The durable stainless steel cabinet resists environmental corrosion and is large enough to accommodate many different sample preparation components to customise the system for specific applications.
For example, dual ammonia scrubbers can be installed to eliminate downtime during routine scrubber maintenance.
