Purite, a leading UK manufacturer of high performance water purification equipment, has launched the latest version of its dual grade purification unit, the Select Fusion

Specifically designed for use in demanding analytical laboratory and life sciences applications, the unit can provide water at a purity of 1 to 10Mohm.cm, for general laboratory duties, and ultrapure water at a resistivity of 18.2 Mohm.cm for specialised use The compact Select Fusion system incorporates pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, ion exchange and ultraviolet purification techniques in a robust enclosure, with a front panel mounted LCD control panel

This can be used to show system status and parameters such as water quality, total organic carbon and temperature, with optional visual or audible alarms to alert end users of any discrepancies.

The latest Select Fusion is available in three sizes 40, 80 and 160, each of which is supplied with a simple installation kit for bench mounting, first set of consumables and high purity dispenser.

Options for wall mounting and feedwater boost pumps are also available.

The Fusion can be used to produce purified water for a variety of general laboratory duties such as glass washing, reagent makeup and media preparation, at flow rates of up to 24 l/h at 25C.

In addition, the Select Fusion can efficiently deliver one litre/minute of 18.2Mohm.cm Ultrapure water direct from the mains water supply, with a low TOC specification of <10ppb and a bacterial level of <1cfu/ml for many more specialised analytical and life science applications.
