New 'ultra-long range' ultrasonics level metering
Pulsar Process Measurement have just launched their dB40 non-contacting ultrasonic transducer, designed to give a measurement range of 40 metres, and is equally applicable to solids or liquids
In many production plants there is no need for local display or even control, and level readings are fed directly back into the site PLC, SCADA, or other distributed control system.
In this situation the "extra" features on most ultrasonic systems are wasted.
So, rather than having to buy a complex ultrasonic system with "bells and whistles" that the customer may not need but has to pay for anyway, the blackbox range allows users to select the output they need for their specific application.
For example, blackbox 130 has a 4-20mA output, whereas blackbox 133 has a pair of control relays.
Blackbox 134 features an RS485 interface for Modbus or Profibus digital communications.
What all the blackbox units absolutely do have in common is the world-leading Pulsar Datem echo processing software on board, so customers can be confident that they are benefiting from the most versatile and effective ultrasonic system on the market.
Pulsar believe that all commonly encountered requirements are covered by blackbox units, and blackbox fits into the wider range of Pulsar ultrasonic equipment that cover all other eventualities.
Blackbox units operate with the full range of Pulsar dB transducers, giving a measurement range from as little as 125 millimetres right through to 25 metres.
Programming the units is simply done via a special hand-held programmer, or from one of two PC software programs.
Set-up software is included with the blackbox units, and there is an optional blackbox PC package that includes diagnostics and the capability to view echo profiles. Request a free brochure from Pulsar Process Measurement ...
