Pursuit Dynamics, the developer of the innovative PDX processing technology, has announced that Premier Foods has licensed their first PDX system.
This PDX system will be used at the Premier Foods Histon plant as a sugar dissolver within the group's production process.
Premier Foods is one of the UK's leading food companies and manufactures and markets such brands as Crosse and Blackwell, Cadbury Drinking Chocolate and Branston Pickle.
Household brands such as Hartley's jam, Rose's marmalade and Chivers Jelly are manufactured at the Histon site.
Commenting on the announcement, John Heathcote, Chief Executive, said: 'We are delighted that Premier Foods is installing its first PDX system into production.
Sugar dissolution is a major application for the PDX system in both food and soft drinks manufacturing and we are confident that this will prove to be the first of many orders in this field.
We are also pleased to report an increasing level of interest in the PDX system from major food and drinks companies around the world for a variety of applications'.
Process equipment specialists BPT (Skerman) will manufacture and install the PDX system.
The company is one of the Pursuit Dynamics approved distributors of PDX technology and is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of processing plant equipment and integrated systems.
