Riko sensors from PVL detect water in fuel and oil

A PVL product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 12, 2008

New Riko sensors from PVL prevent costly engine or gearbox damage in vehicles, tractors, standby generators, mechanical handling equipment, ships, boats - anywhere there's an engine and/or gearbox

Riko sensors, available throughout Europe from PVL, achieve high reliability yet are available at low cost, particularly to OEMs.

The Riko water/fuel sensor, available in various versions for different applications, detects water in petrol/gasolene or diesel, warning that the filter or agglomerator needs draining.

Using a specially designed precision float that sinks in fuels but floats on water, the sensor triggers the warning light when water gathers at the bottom of the fuel filter and causes the float, normally at the bottom of the filter, to rise.

The Riko oil level sensor, also available in several versions for different applications, warns when engine or gearbox oil is low with a very high standard of accuracy, even in high-temperature environments.

Suitable for use in a wide variety of different types of constantly lubricated machinery, Riko oil level sensors are available to OEMs at keen prices and offer probably the best reliability/price ratio in the business.
